4. Oracle for SAP:

For more than 17 years Oracle has been the database of choice for SAP customers.
Two thirds of SAP customers around the world, in every industry, choose to run their
applications on Oracle databases. Customers are running their SAP applications on
Oracle on all major operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix. Today,
Oracle Database 10g and Real Application Clusters are supported and available for SAP
applications.
The Oracle—SAP relationship goes back to 1988, when SAP R/3 was first developed.
Oracle has dedicated teams working with SAP in many different areas, including joint
software development, customer technical support, and professional services.
